
To keep its mechanically stable and perform its functionality to the best extend, a PCBA usually needs an enclosure. If to be sold as a finished product, enclosure is the necessary skin of the product and the direct part we mainly interact with. So besides the PCBA solution, X-Parts also support with enclosure design and finished product assembly.
The enclosures can be either purchased off-the-shelf by Customer or us, or be designed by Customer or us.
If chose off-the-shelf means there’s a PCB layout to fit into the ready enclosure, it’s usually easier and faster to get the finished product assembled.
But in most cases, our projects are involved with more complex layout, multi-board system, flex and rigid-flex PCBs etc., so only custom enclosures can keep the right balance among functionality, accessibility, cost and aesthetics.

Before and during enclosure design, all our considerations and efforts are based on DFM (Design For Manufacturing) & DFA (Design For Assembly).
For mechanical part, we will design accurate cutouts for your connectors, USB ports, Ethernet ports, HDMI, power jacks and audio jacks etc. and avoid any mechanical interference. From functionality side, we have to consider heat dissipation, safety factors and standards, ventilation and IP ratings etc. For marketing and aesthetics purposes, we will not ignore the importance of styling and appearance. What’s more, we should also take cost and lead time into account.
If you have your own hardware and mechanical engineers, you can design and make the enclosures by yourself and ship to our factory for final assembly directly.
We will do finished product assembly as per your assembly procedures and guidelines. To ensure the 100% yield rate, our professional engineers will also do functional test for each product and do aging test if required.

Except the above mentioned, we also have good experience of handling epoxy potting and silicone adhesive sealing.
